Leah Johnson is an American writer based in Berkeley, California where she currently attends UC Berkeley studying English and Creative Writing. She specializes in both creative and nonfiction works, writing personal essays for Unpublished, and also holds editorial positions at several student-led magazines on Berkeley’s campus. Leah finds the beauty in the world and takes every opportunity to bask in its glory, where she is often found shooting film, going on mindless drives, writing letters on her typewriter, picking daisies in her backyard, listening to her multitude of playlists, thrifting, writing, reading, sewing, embroidering, humming along to songs on the radio, and brushing her long blonde hair, all the while reveling in endless, eruptive laughter. She values intellectualism and iced matcha lattes, consuming consciously and striped sweaters, kindness and tenderness, and makes it her mantra to keep her eyes open and be here now; Leah is constantly thinking and forever learning.
